Design Studio Desart looked at sea-urchins for inspiration when designing the rather quirky Sea-Urchin Seating Collection. Designed by Andrea De Benedetto, the focal point of the collection is its round shape which is also duplicated in the cushion. For that added zing, the collection has been splattered with graphics of bright-red corals that plays off beautifully with the discreet black frame. All in all a rather innovative design by Andrea De Benedetto and we are sure it will look great in a private home or a commercial space.

The S House in the image gallery below, designed by Facet Studio, a Japanese and Australian architecture firm is more than just a home, it’s, dare I say, a work of art. We’re looking at a single building that offers about 150 square meters of usable space to two separate families. The S House has three floors, which is not something you’d expect when looking at the building from outside, and a few interesting staircases which grant access to all floors. We’re looking at bright, neatly decorated rooms and interconnected by these special staircases. Glass floors and grated ceilings will help spread that very necessary light not to mention bringing a certain coolness aura to the S House. I’d definitely go for a tour of the S House as I am still trying to wrap my mind around the concept. Would you reside in such a small, but apparently quite big home? Via Design Boom
